ISSAAS Philippines to host 2012 International Symposium and Congress in Legazpi City

The International Society for Southeast Asian Agricultural Sciences will hold its 2012 International Symposium and Congress on November 13-16, 2012 at the St. Ellis Hotel, Legazpi City, Philippines. The theme of the congress is “Pushing Agriculture to Achieve the Millennium Development Goals”. The objectives of the conference are:

• To promote greater awareness on the MDGs as targets for improving the lives of millions of poor and disadvantaged people;
• To examine the role of agriculture in achieving the MDGs; and
• To share and exchange information on agriculture-related programs and projects implemented in support of the MDGs
